Readers of this humble blog on desktop environments or on tablets are aware of the clock that decorates the left hand side of the screen; well, now everyone can have that nice artsy clock on their mobile devices… and no, it’s not an app.
I’ve made a quick and dirty PWA that iOS and Android users can install on their screens for their personal timekeeping requirements. You can access it on akos.ma/clock. If you want to learn more about PWAs, the best resource is without any doubt my friend Maximiliano Firtman, who has an entire section of his website dedicated to the subject.
Here’s how it looks like on iOS and Android (in the latter case, images taken using the Android emulator provided by Android Studio, as I don’t have an Android device at hand at the moment of this writing). You can see that the support and experience of PWAs in both platforms is slightly different, but anyway, enjoy!
